The Are you found by AI? public benchmarks show how often AI names businesses in each market, with saved answers, clear counts and a date for every result. For each business we count the saved answers that name it and divide by all countable saved answers. Repeated answers count separately. An answer without the business name counts as a no; missing or incomplete evidence does not. The current snapshot was compiled on 29 September 2026 from measurements taken between 13 July and 29 September 2026. Every percentage below is a named share, not a score out of 100. The snapshot stays dated until the next rebuild.

How we count

  • Average: gives each business equal weight. It is not the percentage of all answers combined.
  • Pooled percentage: a separate figure that pools every answer, so it gives more weight to businesses with more saved answers.
  • Categories need at least 6 businesses with countable answers.
  • Included: public research scans with enough saved evidence to count. Excluded: private customer scans, incomplete results and restricted source material.
Businesses were checked on different dates with different questions and numbers of answers, so the benchmarks are a starting point for comparison, not a controlled ranking or a prediction.

What the benchmarks can and cannot tell you

The saved answers show which businesses appeared for the questions and engines checked. They do not establish the chance of being named for every possible buyer question, or prove that one website change caused a result. Earlier versions of this page reported weighted scores out of 100. Those values were not percentages of answers and are not carried into the current benchmarks.

Websites measured and scanned

The benchmark snapshot is a separate, stated cohort. Two other numbers appear on the Are you found by AI? site, and both count hostnames, not businesses:
  • 4,500+ websites measured: the live count of websites with a visibility score recorded against a real buyer question for their category.
  • 4,500+ websites scanned: a dated snapshot of 4,562 hostnames with a stored visibility score, counted on 8 October 2026.
