Agencies ask this before they commit, and they are right to. Here is the answer in writing.
Every monitored site's console has a machine-readable export: the full data as JSON and a plain-text context pack, both one click from the sidebar, both yours to download at any time. Report links are standalone documents; once a report exists, its link keeps working.
Billing flags clear and the plan benefits stop. Nothing is deleted: your fleet page keeps rendering from the measurement record, report links stay live, and your access keys are untouched. Weekly re-measures stop for sites whose monitoring lapses; the history they built stays readable and exportable.
The method is open source: scoring, evals and the audit suite are published at github.com/techhorizonlabs/thl-open. Your exports carry your data, and the public method means any competent developer can interpret and continue the measurement. A closed platform cannot make that promise; opacity is usually the product.
A client's sites and history belong to the measurement record, keyed by domain. Membership in your network is a grant, and it moves when the client's relationship moves: we re-parent client networks on request, and the client's own console links never break in the process.
Short version: no data hostage. You keep the record, the links keep working, and the method is public. The thing you pay for is the ongoing measurement, the branded delivery, and your team's scoped AI access, not the right to your own history.
