Why Ahrefs is the wrong fit for a business owner
- It costs a lot to see much. You need an Ahrefs plan from US$129 a month, then US$199 a month for each AI engine, or US$699 a month for all of them. That's against US$79 a month for all seven engines with us.
- Generic prompts don't know your area. Brand Radar's index is built from Ahrefs' keyword database, so it measures the market in general. A mortgage broker in Austin needs to know what AI says when someone in Austin asks, and we measure area by area. Your own questions in Ahrefs come in a small daily quota: 5 a day on Lite.
- The big index moves slowly. Its ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot data refreshes monthly over a 90-day window, so a fix you ship today can take months to show.
