Free in the Web Store, plus the 54-point gap between named and invisible businesses.
Our Chrome extension is live in the Chrome Web Store. It puts the measurement in your toolbar, and it gives you something to do with the next ten minutes that most businesses have never done: read what AI actually says about you.
The popup reads from our index of previously measured answers, and five readiness checks (schema, AI-crawler access, llms.txt, page basics, answer-shaped content) run locally in your browser. The only thing that ever leaves it is the site's hostname. When you want a live measure, the free scan runs one in about 60 seconds.
We have now measured 2,497 businesses in the public index. 586 get named by the engines when buyers ask. 882 are effectively invisible. This month we split the two groups by scoring pillar, and the result is the clearest picture of the category we have published.
BRAND SIGNALS · INDEPENDENT MENTIONS, VERIFIED IDENTITY
TECHNICAL SEO · SPEED, CRAWLABILITY, SITE HEALTH
On brand signals the named businesses average 88 out of 100 and the invisible ones average 34. On technical SEO the same two groups sit at 81 and 78. Their websites are nearly identical in quality. The difference is whether the wider web vouches for them. We wrote the whole thing up, with the checklist that follows from the data, in LLM SEO, measured.
2,497 MEASURED | 54 POINT BRAND GAP | 3 POINT TECH GAP
Monitoring subscribers got the biggest run of upgrades since launch. The weekly email now points at the moment a change you shipped moved an actual answer. Competitor watch grew too: it follows up to three rival pages, flags the day any of them ships something new, and the console charts your share of AI mentions against those rivals over time.
Replies land with me and I answer them. If the line the extension shows you is ugly, forward me the screenshot and I will tell you the first thing I would fix. No charge, and no pitch attached.
